BIBS—Upper East Side campus is dedicated to providing a challenging learning environment which is child-centered, well-balanced and aims to develop the whole child. Our school is a center of inquiry, creativity and joyful learning, with students coming together to learn, to dream and to grow in a warm and nurturing bilingual and bicultural community.
It is within this environment that parents join with caring, experienced professionals in forming a strong partnership that allows each child to learn and grown both academically as well as socially. This is the foundation of everything that we do. BIBS is more than simply a language school, it is learning experience rich in culture.
Our child-friendly program, with its small class sizes and personalized attention, provides each child with the tools required to reach their academic potential and be happy, considerate members of our learning community. This includes offering a wide variety of extracurricular activities that allow learning to take place outside the classroom. This allows students to explore learning in a manner that that is tailored to their specific needs and interests.
The faculty and staff that compromise the Upper East campus – from our instructional assistants, to our teachers to our administrators – all share a common bond. We care deeply about each of the children that we have the privilege of working with, and it is that bond that drives us to do everything that we can to ensure that each child acquires a love of learning that will not only contribute to his or her future success in both school and throughout life.
The IB Primary Years Programme is designed for students aged 3 to 12, and addresses students’ academic, social and emotional well-being. The PYP encourages students to develop independence and to take responsibility for their own learning.
